YANKTON -- The Lancers hosted Morningside University in a GPAC contest this Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs were able to build a 47-28 lead at halftime and come away with a 84-59 win. Mount Marty is now 6-15 on the season and 3-12 in conference play.
Briona Jensen led the Lancers with her first double-double of the season. Jensen hit a career high of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Briona also had three blocks, one assist, and one steal in todays game against the Mustangs.
Kaela Martinez followed Jensen by putting up 12 points. This is her eighth game hitting double-digits in scoring for the Lancers.
As team, Mount Marty put up 18 points in the paint, made 14 points off turnovers, and the bench made 21 points.
The Lancers will be back on the road for their next game, traveling to Jamestown N.D. This game will be played on Wednesday, Jan. 25, with game time being set for 6:00 PM. The Men's Basketball team will follow the Women's.
