Game Recap: Mount Marty vs. Dakota Wesleyan (SD)

In a match against Dakota Wesleyan (SD), Mount Marty faced a tough challenge, ultimately falling 4-0. Dakota Wesleyan started strong, securing an early lead with Hannah Petrucci finding the net in the 4th minute, assisted by Linda Humble. Mount Marty's defense, led by goalkeeper Kelsey Tabbert, held firm amidst a barrage of shots. Mount Marty is now 1-11 overall and 0-9 in the GPAC. 

However, Dakota Wesleyan's offensive pressure continued into the second half. Sara Ewert netted a goal in the 52nd minute, extending the lead to 2-0. Hannah Petrucci struck again in the 54th minute, this time assisted by Makaen DeGeest, further widening the gap. Sara Ewert scored once more in the 75th minute, assisted by Raegen Altman, cementing Dakota Wesleyan's 4-0 victory.

Mount Marty's defensive line, including Kendra McKinney and Samarah Hendricks, fought valiantly, attempting to thwart the relentless Dakota Wesleyan attacks. Despite their efforts, the offensive prowess of Dakota Wesleyan proved too much to handle.

In the face of adversity, Mount Marty displayed resilience and determination, with Desiree Medina and Katelyn Powers making offensive attempts. Goalkeeper Kelsey Tabbert showcased her skills, making crucial saves to keep the scoreline from ballooning further.

Kelsey Tabbert (Goalkeeper): Tabbert had a challenging game facing numerous shots and making crucial saves to keep her team in the match. Despite the score, her efforts were notable in the face of a strong offensive from Dakota Wesleyan.

Kendra McKinney (Defender): McKinney showed defensive prowess, attempting one shot and ensuring a resilient backline against a relentless Dakota Wesleyan attack.

Desiree Medina (Forward): Medina made efforts in the attacking front, attempting two shots during the game. Although she couldn't find the net, her intent to create offensive opportunities was evident.
