Women's Soccer: Lancers Fall To Dordt

In a spirited contest, Mount Marty faced off against a formidable Dordt (IA) side. Dordt (IA) displayed their attacking prowess early in the first half, with Keely Kolbrek finding the back of the net at 5:47, setting the tone for the match. Karinna Tel added to the lead with two goals at 11:19 and 19:06, showcasing her offensive prowess. However, Mount Marty showed resilience as Kamil Bennett managed to pull one back at 26:03, demonstrating their determination to stay in the game.

As the first half progressed, Karinna Tel secured her hat-trick with another goal at 43:21, putting Dordt (IA) firmly in control at 4-1 going into halftime.

In the second half, Dordt (IA) continued their offensive onslaught. Hayden Jennett extended their lead at 53:22, and Ashlyn Marjama added another goal at 81:57, sealing a 6-1 victory for Dordt (IA).

Mount Marty's goalkeeper, Kelsey Tabbert, made valiant efforts with 17 saves, keeping her team in the game despite the relentless attacks from Dordt (IA). Despite the result, Mount Marty fought hard and showed determination throughout the match.
