 Mount Marty continued its road trip on Tuesday night. Doane defeated Mount Marty 81-57. The Lancers are now 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the GPAC.Â
First Half:
In the first half of the game between Mount Marty and Doane (NE), Doane displayed an impressive offensive performance. Brady Timm spearheaded Doane's attack, scoring 28 points with sharp shooting from beyond the arc, connecting on 4 out of 5 three-pointers. River Johnston and Nick Saiz contributed 13 and 11 points respectively. Doane's effective shooting helped them amass 46 points in the first half. On the other side, Mount Marty managed to put up 34 points, with Tash Lunday leading the scoring effort with 16 points. However, Doane's strong offensive showing resulted in a halftime score of 46-34 in favor of Doane.
Second Half:
The second half saw Doane continuing their offensive momentum, maintaining their scoring efficiency. Mount Marty tried to mount a comeback but struggled to match Doane's offensive output. Cole Bowen led Mount Marty's scoring efforts in the second half, adding 14 points, while the team collectively managed to score 23 points. However, Doane's balanced scoring attack and sturdy defense limited Mount Marty's chances of narrowing the deficit. Ultimately, Doane secured the victory with a final score of 81-57, displaying consistency in their performance throughout the game.
