The game unfolded with Mount Marty encountering difficulties in their offensive execution, reflected in their shooting percentages of 42.6% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range. Jaydn Jensen led the scoring efforts for Mount Marty with 13 points, supported by Sidney Thue's solid 14 points off the bench. Despite these individual contributions, the team faced a formidable opponent in Dakota State.
