Mount Marty Falls Short Against Dakota Wesleyan (SD) with 76-50 Loss

In a tough battle against Dakota Wesleyan (SD), Mount Marty University faced a challenging defeat with a final score of 76-50 on December 9, 2023. 

The Lancers had a slow start in the first quarter, scoring 9 points while Dakota Wesleyan surged ahead with 21 points. Throughout the subsequent quarters, Mount Marty fought to narrow the gap but faced difficulties in finding their rhythm, trailing further behind at halftime with a score of 43-17.

Jadyn Jensen led the scoring charge for Mount Marty, delivering an impressive 17-point performance, well-supported by Haley Meyer, who contributed 12 points. 

Despite a commendable effort in rebounding and defensive plays, collecting a total of 38 rebounds and securing 7 steals, Mount Marty encountered struggles in converting possessions into scoring opportunities. 

Dakota Wesleyan's strong defensive presence and efficient scoring ultimately sealed the victory. Mount Marty University, while showcasing resilience and determination, faced a formidable opponent in Dakota Wesleyan, resulting in a 76-50 defeat.
