YANKTON -- Mount Marty fell to the Doane Tigers in GPAC basketball on Wednesday night with a final score of 74-57. MMU moves to 7-20 on the season and 4-17 in conference play.
The Lancers held the lead most of the first quarter. However, Doane was able to take a last second lead before the buzzer, with Kali Staples' 3-pointer. The Tigers never gave up the lead after that.
Kaela Martinez led the Lancers with 19 points in the game. Martinez also picked up one rebound and one steal.
Eve Millar put up 14 points in the game to follow. Millar grabbed five rebounds, had two steals, and two assists.Â
Sidney Thue led the team in steals, swiping five from the Tigers. Thue put up six points, had four rebounds, one block, and one assist.Â
Mount Marty's last game of the season takes place this Saturday at 2:00 PM. This game will be honoring the Lancer's five seniors:
Aubrey Twedt,
Alana Bergland,
Jaiden Hartl,
Eve Millar, and
Kiara Berndt. There will be a live stream if you are unable to attend the game.
