Mount Marty started its two game road trip Wednesday night when they traveled to Sioux Center, IA. The Lancers lost 68-100 to the Defenders. Mount Marty is now 9-17 overall and 5-13 in GPAC play. Dordt is now 20-5 overall and 12-5 in GPAC play.

In the first half, the Lancers were 15-28 from the field shooting 53.6%. The Lancers were 0-6 from three and 3-4 from the free-throw line. Mount Marty went into halftime trailing the Defenders by 15. 

In the game, Mount Marty had 8 bench points, 4 fast break points, 13 points off of turnovers, 6-second chance points, and 36 points in the paint. Mount Marty's largest lead of the game was at the 11 minute mark in the first half when they were leading by five. In the game the there was four lead changes and five times the score was tied. The Lancers were 26-56 from the field shooting 46.4% as a team. From the three-point line, the Lancers were 3-15 shooting 20%. At the free throw line, the Lancers were 13-16. Mount Marty had 10 assists as a team, with 1 block and 7 steals. Cole Bowen led the way with 22 points on 9-11 shooting and added 8 rebounds. Tash Lunday scored 21 points on 8-16 shooting and had a team high 4 assists. Lincoln Jordre had 12 points and 2 rebounds. Matthew Becker had 4 points off the bench. Kade Stearns and Will Turner had 3points, Josh Arlt had 2 points, and Tristan Furgeson added a point in the loss

The Lancers will travel back to Iowa again on February 11th where they will square off with Northwestern College starting at 3:45 PM. The men will then have their home regular-season finale when they host Doane University on February 15th tipping off at 7:45 PM.
