Second Set (25-27): The second set was highly competitive, with both teams displaying their offensive firepower. Julia Weber continued to shine with six more kills, while Mia Furst added to the offensive effort with four kills of her own. Mount Marty showed resilience and improved their blocking and serving. However, Mayville State managed to edge out a close win, taking the set 27-25.
Third Set (25-19): Determined not to give up, Mount Marty rallied in the third set. Mia Furst, in particular, found her rhythm, contributing significantly with five kills. Athena Stanton, the team's middle blocker, also made her presence felt at the net with three kills and solid blocking. The improved team coordination paid off as Mount Marty took the third set 25-19.
Fourth Set (16-25): The fourth set saw Mayville State regaining their momentum. Despite efforts from Mount Marty's Ally Whitmire, who recorded an impressive 38 assists, and Julia Weber, who had another five kills, Mayville State dominated the set. Their strong attacking and defense proved to be the difference as they secured the set 25-16 and, with it, the match victory.
