In the first half, Doane (NE) took an early lead when Braden Lackey found the back of the net in the 18th minute. Cesar Gonzalez provided the assist, and it was a well-executed play that put the visitors up 1-0. Despite their best efforts, Mount Marty couldn't respond in the first half, and the score remained in Doane's favor as they headed into the break.

The second half was a different story as Mount Marty rallied to level the score. Diego Romero was the hero for the home team, scoring the equalizer in the 54th minute. Brandon Cervantes provided the crucial assist that allowed Romero to score, and the crowd erupted in celebration as the score became 1-1.
