Hastings Secures a 76-53 Win Over Mount Marty

Hastings won against Mount Marty, emerging victorious with a final score of 76-53. 

In the first half, Hastings dominated the court, outscoring Mount Marty 47-19. This substantial lead set the tone for the game, and Hastings continued to build on it in the second half.

Reggie Thomas was a standout player for Hastings, contributing 25 points and showcasing versatility in his game. Nolan Sughroue added 14 points, while Tyrique McMurrin recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The balanced scoring effort and contributions from the bench players, including Anthony Thompson and Quinn Johnson, demonstrated Hastings' depth and cohesion.

Hastings exhibited impressive shooting percentages, with a field goal percentage of 50.8% and a 46.7% success rate from beyond the arc. Their proficiency extended to the free-throw line, where they shot 63.6%.

Mount Marty faced challenges in containing Hastings' offensive onslaught, but Micah Johnson and Jared Lopez made notable contributions, scoring 15 and 6 points, respectively. Cole Bowen led in assists with 5 and added 7 points.

While Mount Marty improved their scoring output in the second half, Hastings' lead remained. Damon Opdahl provided a spark off the bench, contributing 9 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Hastings' commanding performance.
