First half: The lancers started well jumping out to a 6-0 lead before the Defenders stormed back with an 11-0 run of their own. Angok Akot led the Lancers in the first half with 11 points on 5-6 shooting. Cole Bowen Led MMU in rebounds for the half with 7 boards. However, That couldn't cool off Dordt's Hot shooting with a 61% team field goal percentage led by Lucas Lorenzen 14 points. Luke Rankin and Connor Milikan each had 9 points for the defenders who jumped out to a 45-28 halftime lead. MMU ended the half shooting 41% as a team.
Second Half: in an exciting second half Mount Marty would go on to outscore Dordt 52 – 44. The Lancers shot 53.3% from three-point land in the half in which they went on a 13-0 run to tie the game at 68-68 with 13 minutes to play. Cole Bowen and Rugby Ryken would take charge erupting for 18 and 19 points respectively in the half. Cole Bowen would end the game with a double-double in a spirited game by the Lancers.
