The game started with a bang for Doane as Narumi Okayasu kicked off the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning. Doane extended their lead with Brayden Jones's two-run homer, putting them ahead 3-0 after the first inning. They continued to build on their lead in the second inning with Logan Amick's two-run homer, pushing the score to 5-0.
Mount Marty responded in the bottom of the second inning with Bodi Wallar's two-run homer, cutting the deficit to 5-2. They further closed the gap in the third inning when Will Gardner's double brought in Joe Gokie, making it 5-3.
In the sixth inning, Mount Marty staged a dramatic comeback, fueled by Wallar's RBI single and Ethan Wishon's RBI double, tying the game at 5-5. Vaughn Deming's two-RBI single then gave Mount Marty a 7-5 lead.
However, Doane rallied in the seventh inning as Joe Osborn's two-run homer tied the game once again at 7-7. They then took the lead on Noah Winkelman's RBI double, putting them ahead 8-7.

In a game marked by offensive fireworks, Doane (NE) emerged victorious over Mount Marty with a final score of 9-6. Both teams showcased their batting prowess, but Doane's early lead proved insurmountable for Mount Marty.
The scoring started early for Doane as they jumped to a commanding 7-0 lead after just two innings. Joe Osborn was the catalyst for Doane's offense, launching a three-run homer in the first inning, followed by another two-run blast in the second inning. Logan Amick also contributed with an RBI double, and Narumi Okayasu added a sacrifice fly.
