Concordia (Neb.) showcased their offensive firepower with a convincing 12-3 victory over Mount Marty.
The scoring started early for Concordia when Matthew Rhoades reached first on a fielding error, allowing Jaidan Quinn to score in the first inning. They extended their lead in the second inning with a solo home run from Michael Welch and an RBI single from Jaidan Quinn, making it 3-0. Alec Blakestad then tripled, bringing in two more runs, extending the lead to 5-0.
In the fourth inning, Joey Grabanski launched a three-run homer, adding to Concordia's lead and making it 8-0. Concordia continued to dominate in the fifth inning with another RBI single from Jaidan Quinn and another three-run homer from Joey Grabanski, pushing the lead to 12-0.
Mount Marty managed to put up a fight in the sixth inning when Bodi Wallar smashed a two-run homer, scoring Kiko Nunez and cutting the deficit to 12-2. In the seventh inning, Ethan Wishon added a solo home run, but it wasn't enough to rally Mount Marty.
Concordia's pitcher, Caden Johnson, delivered a solid performance, allowing just two runs over six innings while striking out four. Nate Weaver closed out the game, allowing one run in the final inning.
The Bulldogs wasted no time establishing their dominance, as Jaidan Quinn smashed a two-run homer in the first inning, giving Concordia an early 2-0 lead. They extended their lead in the second inning with a two-run homer from Ty Nekoliczak and another solo shot from Jaidan Quinn, making it 5-0.
In the third inning, Tanner Tompkins added another run for Concordia with an RBI single, pushing the lead to 6-0. Mount Marty managed to put up two runs in the fourth inning due to a throwing error, cutting the deficit to 6-2. However, Ryan Bachman's solo homer in the sixth inning for Mount Marty wasn't enough to shift the momentum.
Concordia exploded with five runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by Jaidan Quinn's second homer of the game, a three-run shot, and Alec Blakestad's two-run homer, extending their lead to 11-3. Mount Marty added one more run in the eighth inning, but Concordia responded with three more runs, including another two-run homer from Alec Blakestad.
