Yankton, SD – Graceland University's women's soccer team opened their season with a 4-0 victory over Mount Marty University.
First Half:
Graceland took control early in the game, with forward Skye Hernandez opening the scoring in the 11th minute, assisted by Caitlin Lageman. The early goal set the tone for the Yellowjackets, who continued to apply pressure on Mount Marty's defense.
Midway through the first half, Graceland doubled their lead when Chloe Montera found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, with Lageman picking up her second assist of the day.
Second Half:
Graceland maintained their momentum in the second half, with Hernandez adding her second goal of the match just four minutes after the restart.
The Yellowjackets capped off their impressive performance in the 80th minute when Emily Carmen scored the fourth and final goal, assisted by Hernandez, who had a standout game.
