The Mount Marty University (MMU) football team suffered a heartbreaking 23-20 loss to the Hastings College Broncos on a last-second field goal at home in Yankton, SD, on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The Lancers fall to 4-4 overall and 3-4 in the GPAC despite dominating the time of possession.

The back-and-forth game was decided by a 40-yard field goal with one second remaining. Mount Marty's offense was productive but was matched by Hastings' big-play capability.
