Mount Marty Men's Soccer Falls on the Road to Concordia
SEWARD, Neb. – The Mount Marty men's soccer team fought hard but came up short on Wednesday night, falling 3-0 to Concordia at Bulldog Stadium.
The match was scoreless through the first half as goalkeeper Esteban Gomez made several key saves to keep the Bulldogs off the board. Concordia, however, broke through with three goals in an eight-minute span midway through the second half to take control of the match.
Mount Marty finished with six shots, including one on goal from Nolan Baker. Andreas Socratous and Sammuel Badmus also generated offensive chances, while Molibetsane Thetsane and Lukas Amaya added shots in the attack.
Defensively, Gomez kept the Lancers in the game with seven saves in his first start of the season.
With the loss, Mount Marty moves to 2-3-2 overall and 0-2-2 in GPAC play.
