The Mount Marty University (MMU) women's soccer team pulled off the biggest win in school history on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, defeating the heavily favored Morningside University Mustangs in the GPAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

The #8 seeded Lancers secured the massive upset over the #1 seeded Mustangs after battling to a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes of regulation and two overtime periods, advancing in a dramatic penalty kick shootout (3-2). This victory sends Mount Marty to the GPAC Tournament Semifinals for the first time ever.
