The Mount Marty University (MMU) women's basketball team suffered a loss to the highly ranked #8 Briar Cliff Chargers, 88-69, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Yankton, SD.

The loss moves the Lancers' record to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in GPAC play.

Briar Cliff's exceptional shooting efficiency in the first half created a large gap that Mount Marty could not close, despite a better offensive showing in the second quarter.

  • First Half Offense: Briar Cliff came out hot, scoring 31 points in the first quarter and 25 in the second, building a decisive 56-43 halftime lead. The Chargers shot an incredible 55.7% from the field for the game.
