Mount Marty Men's Tennis Secures Dominant 6-1 Victory Over Northwestern

YANKTON, S.D. – The Mount Marty men's tennis team bounced back with authority on April 16, 2025, capturing a commanding 6-1 win over Northwestern (Iowa) at home. The Lancers swept the doubles point and claimed five of six singles matches in a strong GPAC showing.

Mount Marty came out firing in doubles play, securing all three courts for the early 1-0 advantage:

• #1 Doubles: Pablo Rivest / Oleksander Makarov (MMU) def. Jose Calderon / David Bomgaars (NWU), 6-2

• #2 Doubles: Alex Polo / Patchara Suklian (MMU) def. Collin Harmelink / Mateo Flores (NWU), 6-4

• #3 Doubles: Guilherme Nomura / Joaquin Jarochevsky (MMU) def. Arthur Vicente / Tanner Laube (NWU), 6-4

Mount Marty will travel to Midland on Friday to compete in their last regular season match. The Lancers will then look to compete in the GPAC Tournament which will take place on April 24th thru the 26th.
