Mount Marty Battles to 12th at Siouxland Invitational
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Mount Marty men's golf team finished 12th out of 18 teams at the Siouxland Invitational, held September 8–9 at Landsmeer Golf Course. The Lancers carded rounds of 314-317-295 for a three-round total of 926 (+74).
Team Performance
Wout Kerkhofs continued his strong fall season, leading the Lancers with a T-14 finish after rounds of 73-77-72 (+9). His even-par final round helped Mount Marty post its lowest team score of the tournament.
Guus Van Loon was steady across three rounds, closing with a 73 (+2) to finish 38th overall at 229 (+16). Senior Leo Garcia saved his best for the last day, firing an even-par 71 to climb into a tie for 55th at 236 (+23).
Rounding out the scoring, Hunter Bailey carded 239 (+26) and Parker Riley finished at 244 (+31).
Individual Lancer
In addition to the team, Lane Tvedt competed as an individual for Mount Marty. Tvedt posted rounds of 80-76-77 to finish at 233 (+20), tying for 47th place.
Tournament Leaders
Hastings captured the team title with an impressive 875 (E), led by medalist Ryker Dunkley, who fired a closing 66 (-5) to finish at 213 (E).
