The Mount Marty University cheer team continued their historic 2026 campaign with a strong showing at the GPAC Cheer Championships in Orange City, Iowa. Competing at the Bultman Center.
GPAC Championship Highlights
Mount Marty earned 4th place overall in the conference standings, finishing with a total score of 78.86. This placement puts them in the top half of the GPAC, ahead of several regional rivals including Dordt, Waldorf, Hastings, and Concordia.

The Lancers held their ground in a field where the top three spots were a tight race between Northwestern, Midland, and Doane.

Season Momentum
This 4th-place finish at the conference championships is a testament to the program's growth this season. After setting a school record of 78.18 at the Concordia Invite earlier in February, the Lancers managed to surpass that mark on the conference's biggest stage with their 78.86.
By consistently scoring in the high 70s and 80s throughout February, Mount Marty had a record breaking season!
