Mount Marty University Lancers Volleyball Season Preview
2025 Season Retrospective
The Lancers enter the upcoming campaign following a competitive 12–16 overall record (5–11 GPAC) in 2025. The Lancers were able to qualify for the GPAC Tournament in 2025 and look to go back in 2026. Mount Marty proved to be a formidable unit at the net and on defense, finishing in the upper echelon of the GPAC in several team defensive metrics:

Blocking & Front Row: Ranked 1st in the GPAC in solo blocks (66) and 5th overall in blocks per set (2.01).

Offense & Ball Control: Averaged 12.14 kills per set and 11.64 assists per set while maintaining 15.44 digs per set on defense.
Retaining Core Talent & Key Returning Players
With the graduation of seniors Julia Weber, Gabby Miller, and Mia Furst, Mount Marty transitions its tactical core to a strong contingent of returning talent across the court:
Front Row Attackers & Blockers

Caitlin Guenther (MH | Jr.): Net-defense anchor. Averaged 4.0+ blocks and 10–13.5 points per match, including an 8-block performance vs. Dakota Wesleyan.

Lexi Eickhoff (MH | So.): Athletic net presence. Consistently posted 3.0+ total blocks and double-digit scoring (11.5 pts vs. Morningside).

Jaya Wachholtz (OH | Jr.): All-around wing pin. Averaged 8–12 kills and 12+ digs per match, stepping into a lead offensive role this season.

Macy Drotzmann (OH | So.): Key local rotation hitter expected to absorb a significantly larger pin workload following senior graduations.

Kate Tollinger (OH/DS | Sr. | #6): Primary defensive anchor for the Lancers. Led Mount Marty last season with 361 digs across 28 matches (3.54 digs per set), while also adding 10 kills and 23 assists as a primary serve-receive passer.

Adisyn Indahl (OH/DS | Sr. | #5): Dynamic back-row defender and secondary passer. Finished second on the team with 305 digs across 28 matches (3.08 digs per set), while leading the back row at the service line with a team-high 22 service aces.

Jenna Schweitzer (DS | So.): Core back-row passing piece, averaging 8–10 digs per match in serve receive.
- Taylor Dobrenz (DS | Jr.): Reliable transition defender providing back-row coverage and consistent service runs.
