Mount Marty showed dual personality in Wisconsin, putting together two dominant, sweeping victories while dropping a tight five-set battle and a sweep to finish the weekend 4-4 overall.
 

Game 1: Mount Marty 3, Mount Mary 0

(25-17, 25-12, 25-17)

The Lancers kicked off the weekend in complete control, dismantling host Mount Mary in a quick three-set sweep.

• Offensive Efficiency: Mount Marty hit a blazing .316 as a team, including a .481 clip in Set 2.

• Balanced Attack: Caitlin Guenther (10 kills, .526 hitting pct) and Adisyn Indahl (10 kills, .350 hitting pct) led the charge, while Jaya Wachholtz added 8 kills.

• Defensive Lockout: Mount Marty held Mount Mary to a -.010 hitting percentage, forced 23 attack errors, and picked up 48 digs, led by libero Kate Tollinger (15 digs).

• Setter Tandem: Brianna Even (14 assists, 2 aces) and Maycee Williams (13 assists) orchestrated a smooth offense.

Game 2: Missouri Valley 3, Mount Marty 2

(25-23, 25-23, 16-25, 18-25, 15-12)

Mount Marty dropped two tight opening sets before mounting a furious comeback to push Missouri Valley to a fifth frame, ultimately falling just short.

• Heavy Hitting Duo: Jaya Wachholtz delivered a huge performance with 19 kills (.333 hitting pct), while Caitlin Guenther tallied 14 kills and 4 blocks (18.0 points).

• Net & Floor Defense: Kate Tollinger anchored the back line with 26 digs, while Adisyn Indahl notched a double-double (9 kills, 15 digs). At the net, the Lancers collected 8 team blocks.

• Setter Production: Maycee Williams directed the offense with 20 assists, supported by Brianna Even (3 assists, 11 digs).

• The Difference: Missouri Valley found its groove in the fifth, hitting .308 with 13 kills to edge out the Lancers 15-12.

Game 3: St. Mary-Woods 3, Mount Marty 0

In an early-morning matchup, the Lancers struggled to build offensive momentum against an undefeated St. Mary-Woods squad (7-0).

• Leaders at the Net: Jaya Wachholtz and Caitlin Guenther each notched 8 kills, with Guenther hitting an efficient .238. Adisyn Indahl added 7 kills and 5 digs.

• Defense: Kate Tollinger led the defense with 12 digs, while Maycee Williams picked up 9 digs alongside 12 assists.

• Attack Stumbles: The Lancers were plagued by 21 attack errors (.064 hitting pct), while St. Mary-Woods hit .225 behind an 11-ace serving performance.

Game 4: Mount Marty 3, Goshen (IN) 0

Mount Marty closed out the trip in statement fashion, overwhelming Goshen in every phase for a blowout sweep.

• Front-Row Wall: The Lancers were relentless at the net, accumulating 12 team blocks (24 block assists). Caitlin Guenther led with 7 block assists (plus 6 kills), while Lexi Eickhoff (5 block assists) and Adisyn Indahl (4 block assists) closed down the pin.

• Balanced Scoring: Adisyn Indahl hit .333 with 9 kills, Annabella Suljuzovic added 8 kills, and Jaya Wachholtzchipped in 7 kills.

• Serving & Setting: Brianna Even posted 16 assists, while Taylor Dobrenz fired off 3 aces to go with 5 digs.
