YANKTON, S.D. — The Mount Marty University women's soccer team kept its perfect conference record intact and remained undefeated on the season, shutting out Northwestern College 2–0 on Saturday afternoon at Crane Youngworth Stadium.
Midfielder Angelina Hopwood provided all the offense the Lancers (5–0–3, 3–0–0 GPAC) would need, scoring in both halves to power Mount Marty past the Red Raiders for their sixth clean sheet of the campaign.

9' (MMU 1, NWC 0) — Mount Marty struck early in the opening half when center back Alyssa Rios connected with Angelina Hopwood, who buried her first goal of the season in the ninth minute to put the Lancers ahead 1–0.

53' (MMU 2, NWC 0) — The Lancers doubled their advantage early in the second period. Fullback Baylee Beck picked out Hopwood, who finished off her second strike of the match in the 53rd minute to give Mount Marty a comfortable two-goal cushion.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE Mount Marty commanded the pitch across the 90 minutes, outshooting Northwestern 17–6 overall and putting seven shots on target compared to four for the Red Raiders. The Lancers also held a dominant 9–1 advantage in corner kicks.
Goalkeeper Miranda Hood earned the victory in net, stopping all three shots she faced on frame across 90 minutes, with the defensive unit adding a team save to secure the shutout. Northwestern netminder Bailey Bynum took the loss, turning away five shots under steady Lancer pressure.
