Mount Marty Volleyball went 2-2 across two action-packed days in Oskaloosa, Iowa, securing a pair of dominant sweep victories while dropping two tightly contested four- and five-set battles.

The Lancers opened the tournament on Friday afternoon with a clean, efficient sweep of Hannibal-LaGrange.

• Balanced Attack: Peyton Ostenson, Adisyn Indahl, and Jaya Wachholtz tied for the team lead with 7 kills each. Indahl hit an efficient .308, while Ostenson swung at .263.

• Net Presence: Caitlin Guenther tallied 5 kills and joined Wachholtz for a team-high 2 block assists as the Lancers held HLGU to a sub-.100 hitting percentage (.097).

• Defensive Stability: Libero Kate Tollinger led the floor with 25 digs, keeping the HLGU offense in check.

• Serving Power: The Lancers collected 8 service aces, led by Jenna Schweitzer and Maycee Williams with 2 apiece.

Match 2: William Penn 3, Mount Marty 1

Mount Marty bounced back with a dominant 25-15 win in Set 2, but host William Penn took three tight sets to claim the Friday night matchup.

• Dominant Performance: Caitlin Guenther delivered an incredible night at the net, hammering down a match-high 15 kills on a sizzling .433 hitting percentage while adding 6 block assists (19.0 points).

• Double-Digit Scoring: Adisyn Indahl turned in a double-double with 10 kills, 14 digs, and 4 block assists.

• Setting & Defense: Brianna Even dished out 22 assists, while Maycee Williams contributed 16 assists and 12 digs. Kate Tollinger reached double digits again with 14 digs.

• Key Factor: Mount Marty hit .171 overall compared to WPU's .118, but 13 service errors proved costly in close set finishes.

Match 3: York (NE) 3, Mount Marty 2

In Saturday's opener, Mount Marty rallied twice to force a deciding fifth set, but York held on in the final frame to steal a thriller.

• Offensive Breakouts: Annabella Suljuzovic sparked the offense with 14 kills (.323 hitting pct) and 5 block assists. Caitlin Guenther equaled her performance with 14 kills and 9 block assists (19.5 points).

• Front-Row Wall: The Lancers put on a blocking clinic, compiling 11 team blocks (22 block assists). Beyond Guenther and Suljuzovic, Adisyn Indahl and Lexi Eickhoff added 2 block assists each.

• Back-Row Hustle: Kate Tollinger recorded a weekend-high 28 digs, while Jenna Schweitzer notched 26 digsand 4 service aces. Indahl added 19 digs for another double-double.

• Setter Distribution: Sophia Even stepped up with 25 assists and 9 digs, while Maycee Williams tallied 22 assistsand 8 digs.

Match 4: Mount Marty 3, Culver-Stockton 0

Mount Marty capped off the tournament in style, steamrolling Culver-Stockton in straight sets thanks to a explosive offensive rhythm.

• Offensive Clinic: The Lancers hit a season-high .276 as a team, including a scorching .593 hitting percentage(17K-1E-27TA) in the third set.

• Pin Hitters Lead the Way: Adisyn Indahl was unstoppable, firing 11 kills on .450 hitting alongside 3 service aces and 8 digs (14.0 points). Annabella Suljuzovic added 12 kills on .391 hitting.

• Defensive Lockdown: Libero Kate Tollinger gathered 17 digs, while the defense limited C-SC to a .011 team hitting percentage and forced 20 attack errors.

• Setter Tandem: Brianna Even (21 assists) and Maycee Williams (11 assists) orchestrated the quick-strike attack.
