Joe Erickson enters his sixth season with the Mount Marty cheer program and his fifth as head coach, bringing a deep passion and dedication to the Lancer cheer teams. A native of Minnesota and former member of the University of South Dakota Coyote cheer team, Erickson combines firsthand competitive experience with a strong commitment to athlete development.
Under Erickson’s leadership, the program has flourished, highlighted by back-to-back GPAC Coach of the Year honors in 2023 and 2024. His coaching philosophy centers on building a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and kindness, prioritizing the growth of his athletes both on and off the mat.
