Andrew Sorenson was named the Special Teams Coordinator in February 2026 at Mount Marty University after previously working as a Graduate Assistant for the Lancers beginning in March of 2024. As a Graduate Assistant, Sorenson coached Defensive Line and developed two All-GPAC performers. Sorenson will continue his work with the Defensive Front for Fall 2026.
Before beginning his coaching career, Sorenson played collegiately at William Jewell College before transferring to Kansas Wesleyan University, where he completed his playing career. During his time at Kansas Wesleyan, Sorenson earned two All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) selections, served as a team captain, won a KCAC conference championship (2021), and competed in the NAIA National Tournament (2021).
A native of Manhattan, Kansas, Sorenson Graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Athletic Coaching. He later earned a Master of Education in Coaching Leadership from Mount Marty University.
