Mount Marty University

Brian Grace was named the Defensive Coordinator for the Mount Marty University Defense in February of 2023. 

The Salinas, California, native joined the Mount Marty coaching staff early this year after completing two years at the University of South Dakota as the Defensive Graduate Assistant. While at USD, Grace was a part of one of the best seasons in program history where the Coyotes made their second playoff appearance in five years in the fall of 2021. During this season South Dakota toppled three nationally-ranked teams and tied for third place in the Missouri Valley Football Conference with a 5-3 record, the Coyotes highest placing in MVFC history. 

Before starting his coaching career, Grace was a 2 year starter and All-Conference Safety at Grand View University in Des Moines, IA. In his last season at Grand View, Grace helped the Vikings earn its 5th Conference Championship with a 13-1 record where they were also named the #1 Defense in the Country and #3 Team Overall. 

Grace graduated from Grand View University in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Communications and again in 2023 with a Masters in Leadership Development and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota.
