Quentin Canty enters his first season as assistant coach at Mount Marty College. Prior to Mount Marty College, Canty served as Associate Head Coach at Indiana University South Bend and as an assistant coach at Graceland University. In Canty’s first year of collegiate level coaching he helped lead Graceland University to an 29-10 overall record and won the 2018 NAIA Division 1 National Championship in the school’s first trip to the national tournament at Kansas City’s historic Municipal Auditorium.

As a player, Canty spent three total years at Rock Valley College including two seasons as a student-athlete and a redshirt year. In Canty’s first year of collegiate play he helped lead the program to just its second NJCAA National Tournament in 48 years while earning All-Tournament Team and Defensive MVP. This paved the way for the Rock Valley Golden Eagles to win two of next three NJCAA National Championships. At Rock Valley College, Canty played in 70 games leading the Golden Eagles to a 50-20 record, two national tournaments including a national runner-up. The Belvidere, Illinois native finished his collegiate playing career at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In his final season with the Saints, Canty earned the NAIA North Star Conference Champion of Character Award for his yearlong service to an individual with cerebral palsy.

Canty graduated from Presentation College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Rock Valley College with an Associates Arts degree.
