Shelby Baatz has been a part of the Mount Marty community since the Fall of 2021. She was named the Head Athletic Trainer at Mount Marty in November of 2022 where she holds her responsibilities with the Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Golf and Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams.
Shelby graduated from Augustana University’s MSAT graduate program in the Spring of 2020. Over her 5 years at Augustana, she found herself absorbing hands-on and clinical education in the classroom, Athletic Training Room and a variety of sporting exposure. Shelby spent her final 2-years as the Graduate Assistant for the Football team at Augustana and traveled to Pueblo, Colorado with the team for their 1st Round Conference Playoff Game. Shelby was the President of the Student Athletic Training Association for 2 years at Augustana and received high praises from her classmates and preceptors both in the classroom and on the job.
Shelby became a BOC certified Athletic Trainer in 2021 and is licensed in the state of South Dakota. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), holds her BLS and CPR certification through the American Heart Association and is a Certified Yoga Instructor.
