Delwin Potter spent 4 and half years throwing at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota where his best throwing event was the hammer throw. Out of college, he coached with a Team USA ParaOlympic shot putter in Northern Nevada. Also around the same time he coached at a high school in Battle Mountain, Nevada. During the small coaching tenure, he had three athletes qualify for state, two males in shot and discus and one female in shot. His one male won the state discus at 3A and was runner up in shot put. Currently in his second year as a Grad Assistant, Delwin Potter has helped coach conference qualifyers in men shot put and mens and womens hammer.
