Mount Marty University

Ramon Romero is in his sixth season as assistant coach. Romero is the outfield coach and assist with hitting for the Lancers. 

A native of Albuquerque, NM, Romero was a high-school standout as an outfieder. He lead his La Cueva High School baseball team to a 2003 state championship while earning back-to-back all-state selections. Romero went on to play baseball at The University of New Mexico.Romero was a member of the Lancer Baseball coaching staff before switching to softball. 

While coaching Lancer softball, he has coached one 2nd Team NAIA All American, 1 NAIA Honorable Mention, 16 GPAC All-Conference, and 5 NAIA All Scholar Team.

Romero resides in Yankton with his wife and four daughters.
