Mount Marty University

Todd Schlimgen, a former assitant for the Lancers Women's Basketball team for 10 years, is now currently in his 2nd season at the helm. Schlimgen is a graduate from South Dakota State University with his Bachelor's Degree in History. 

Previous to coaching at Mount Marty, Schlimgen was a coach at Sisseton High School from 2003 to 2005 as the Freshman Boys Basketball coach. After his years in Sisseton, he then went to Colman-Egan High School where he took the Head Girls Basketball coaching job and as well as Head Boys and Women's Golf Coach from 2005-2008. As the Head Girls Basketball coach, Schlimgen compiled a 66-7 record while winning 3 DVC Regular Season Championships and 3 DVC Tournament Championships. Within his 3 years, he was the 2008 DVC Coach of the Year with 2 District Championships, 2 Region Championships with a 4th Place finish at the State Tournament in 2007 and a 2nd Place finish at State in 2008.

After his years at Sisseton and Colman-Egan High Schools, Schlimgen made a stop from 2008-2009 at Harrisburg High School where he was the Head Women's Basketball coach and had a 13-9 record in 1 season.

After the year in Harrisburg, Todd joined the Mount Marty Women's Basketball staff under his father, Tom Schlimgen for 10 years. In those 10 years, Schlimgen coached 5 NAIA All Americans, 21 All GPAC Performers, 31 Daktronics Scholar Athletes, 6 Post Season Appearances with 2 National Tournament Appearances. In 2016, the Lancer Women's Basketball team reached the Fab Four while finishing #5 in the final poll of the season which is the highest ranking in Mount Marty Women's Basketball history. While on the staff, Mount Marty has places in the top 10 in the nation for GPA 7 times while having the #1 spot 3 different times. 

In 2018-19, Todd took over as the Women's Basketball coach. At Mount Marty, he has compiled a 15-14 record as Head Coach.
