Brooke Muth was named an assistant athletic trainer prior to the 2023–24 academic year and works primarily with the soccer, women’s basketball, and softball programs at Mount Marty University.
Before joining Mount Marty, Brooke served as an assistant athletic trainer at Augustana University from 2021–2023, working with football, baseball, and swimming. During her time there, she implemented movement assessments, rehabilitation programs, and prevention strategies, and was honored with the 2022 South Dakota Athletic Training Association Iron Will Award. She also provided coverage for major events including the Augie XC Twilight Invitational, Augie Swim Invitational, and the 2023 NCAA DII Baseball World Series.
Brooke previously worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Dordt University in the fall of 2020, primarily covering volleyball, cross country, and track & field, including the 2020 GPAC XC Championship. Across both Dordt and Augustana, she played a key role in implementing COVID-19 protocols, including athlete testing, vaccination documentation, quarantine timelines, and return-to-play management.
Brooke earned her M.S. in Athletic Training from Augustana University in 2020 after completing a graduate internship with the football, swimming, and baseball programs. She was the recipient of the Dr. Jeffery Award (2018–2019). She completed her B.A. in Exercise Science at Augustana in 2018, where she was a four-year member of the CIVITAS Honors Program and a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team.
Brooke became a BOC-certified athletic trainer in 2020 and is licensed in South Dakota and Iowa. She is certified in Dry Needling – Level 1 and holds additional credentials through the American Heart Association (CPR/AED), Owens Recovery Science Institute (BFR), and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (Mental Health First Aid). She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
