Jonathon Becker

Jonathon Becker is in his 1st season as the Mount Marty Associate Head Coach for Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams. Becker is a graduate of Concordia University-Seward, NE while graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in Fitness Studies.  Becker also graduated with a Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.

Before arriving to Mount Marty, he was an assistant coach at Baker University. From there, Becker went on to coach for 4 years at MidAmerica Nazarene University. At MidAmerica Nazarene, he coached the 110m Hurdle NAIA National Champions and National Runner-Up (1st and 2nd place) in 2017. In 2019 he also coached the National Champion in the Men's 400m Hurdles. During those 4 year Becker compiled up 6 Heart of America Conference Assistant Coach of the Year awards and in 2019 was an Indoor USATFCCA Regional Woman's Track Assistant Coach of the Year recipient.

As an Indoor Track and Field coach for men's at MidAmerica, in 2019 he coached Conference Champions in the 60m, 200m, 400m 4 of the top 5, 600m, 1000m and the 4x4. As an Outdoor Track and Field coach for men's, in 2017 Becker coached Conference Champions in 200m, 800m, 110m Hurdles in top 3, 400m Hurdles with 4 of the top 5, and 4x1 Relay. In 2018, he coached Conference Champions in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, and 4x4 relays.

As an Indoor Track and Field coach for women’s team at MNU, in 2019 Becker coached Conference Champions in the 200m, 800m, 1000m, and in the 60m Hurdles he placed 3 of the top 4. As an Outdoor women's coach, in 2018 Becker coached Conference Champions in the 100m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles.

Throughout those 4 years at MidAmerican Nazarene University, Becker coached 42 individual Conference Champions since his time back to February of 2016. He also coached his Men’s 4x4 relay squad to 3 All-American honors in 4 years.

Before arriving to Mount Marty, he was an assistant coach at Baker University. There he was the hurdles coach as well as the strength and conditioning coach for the track team. Prior to coaching at Baker University Becker was an athlete at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, Becker was a 17-time All-Conference performer including Conference Champion in the 400m hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay. He was a 7-time NAIA National Qualifier and a 3 time NAIA All-America honoree in the 4x400 meter relay finishing 8th, 5th, and 3rd.
