Sarah Shippy is entering her sixth season as Head Football Athletic Trainer at Mount Marty University. She began her athletic training experience during her undergraduate education at the University of South Dakota. There she worked with their Sports Medicine staff, assisting with the Coyote’s football team. From there, she then completed an internship with the Syracuse Orange football team before graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Sport Management with a specialization in Exercise Science. She continued her education to receive a Master of Arts in Athletic Training degree at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. There she gained professional experience in multiple diverse settings, most notably with UNO’s Division 1 men’s hockey team and an internship with the Omaha Lancers USHL hockey team. In addition to her Head Football Athletic Training position, she also serves as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Coach Rozy’s Performance, powered by Avera, during the summer months. Their training programs cover a wide variety of athletes including 7 th -12 th to upper- collegiate levels. Sarah currently holds membership in the NATA and is licensed in the states of South Dakota and Nebraska. Special certifications include Dry Needling-1.
