Sebastian Aguero – Assistant / Goalkeeper Coach
Sebastian Aguero enters his third season on staff for both the men’s and women’s MMU soccer programs. A tireless worker and a highly valued asset to Coach Spelman’s and Coach Chick’s staff. Aguero brings deep institutional knowledge and a massive work ethic to the Lancers' coaching team.

Aguero brings an immense amount to the table for the program, contributing significantly to both daily training and match days. His impact on the squad includes:
Exceptional Goalkeeper Development: Uses his expertise to design and run high-level, specialized training for the goalkeeping unit, sharpening the team's last line of defense.
Full Staff & Team Contributions: Assists with the entire roster during training sessions and plays an active role in game-day management and coaching adjustments. His dedication behind the scenes and ability to connect with the players were vital components of the staff's success during the two program’s historic runs to their first-ever postseason semifinal appearance.
Deep Lancer Roots
Aguero’s coaching value is backed by his extensive firsthand experience within the program. He played his final collegiate seasons right here at Mount Marty after transferring from the junior college level at State Fair Community College, where he was a standout performer in goal. During his sophomore campaign at State Fair CC, Aguero started 13 games, notched 5 shutouts, and anchored the defense with a stellar 0.95 goals-against average and a .786 save percentage, ultimately earning Second-Team All-Region 16 honors. Following his playing career, the Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia native stayed on campus to serve as a Graduate Assistant coach for both the Lancer men’s and women’s soccer programs. This deep familiarity with the university and the conference, combined with his passion for helping the team succeed, makes Aguero an invaluable pillar to the respective programs coaching staff.
