Mount Marty returned home to host the #20 Morningside Mustangs on Saturday. Morningside defeated the Lancers 90-57. Mount Marty is now 8-14 overall and 4-10 in GPAC play while Morningside improves to 16-3 overall and 10-2 in GPAC play.Â
Inside the Game
In the first half the Mustangs took a 19 point lead into halftime. Their was two lead changes during the first half. The Lancers had 8 points in the paint and 6 points off turnovers in the first half of play. In the game Mount Marty had 20 points in the paint, 6 points off turnovers, 2 second-chance points, 5 fast break points, and 6 bench points.
Cole Bowen and
Tash Lunday each led the Lancers with 13 points and combining for 7 rebounds.
Kade Stearns added 11 points shooting 4-9 from the field.
Lincoln Jordre was the other Lancer in double digits with 10 points on 5-6 shooting.
Will Turner had 4 points.
Matthew Becker and
Caden Casey each added three points for Mount Marty. The Lancers had 14 assists, 6 steals, 2 blocks, and 19 rebounds in the game.Â
