Game Recap: Mount Marty vs. Jamestown (N.D.) - A Tough Battle
In a hard-fought battle at Jamestown, North Dakota, Mount Marty clashed with Jamestown (N.D.). Jamestown won 24-13. MMU is now 2-5 on the season and 1-5 in the GPAC.Â

The second quarter witnessed an offensive awakening. Mount Marty was the first to break the deadlock with Maxwell Welch's 29-yard field goal. However, Jamestown (N.D.) swiftly responded with an explosive play. Carlos Julian sprinted for a 75-yard run, putting Jamestown (N.D.) on the board with a touchdown. Aanon Peterson's successful kick gave them a 7-3 lead.
Mount Marty fought back, with Maxwell Welch adding another field goal, this time from 35 yards out. However, Jamestown (N.D.) showed offensive prowess, with Ty Monson connecting with Isaiah Roebuck for a 25-yard touchdown pass. In the third quarter, Jamestown (N.D.) further solidified their position with a 10-yard touchdown run by Zachariah Hammett, followed by Aanon Peterson's successful kick, pushing their lead to 21-6.
Mount Marty showcased their resilience in the fourth quarter, mounting an impressive 73-yard drive. Ken Gay connected with Jonah Miyazawa for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Maxwell Welch's successful kick narrowed the gap to 21-13.
However, Jamestown (N.D.) remained composed and managed to extend their lead further with Aanon Peterson's 28-yard field goal. This sealed the victory for Jamestown (N.D.), ending the game with a final score of 24-13.
