Mount Marty wrapped up its trip to Texas on Saturday afternoon. The Lancers were able to sweep the day on Saturday. In game one MMU won 4-0 over Tabor College. In game two the Lancers won 5-1 over SAGU. Mount Marty is now 6-2 overall on the season.Â
Game One
Chris Rofe threw a shutout to lead Mount Marty past Tabor College 4-0 on Saturday.
The Lancers put up three runs in the sixth inning. Â The big inning was thanks to by
Braeden Cordes and a double by
Zane Salley.
Rofe earned the win, the righty lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero.
Salley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead MMU in hits.
Game Two
Mount Marty won the contest against SAGU,  5-1
Myles Brown earned the victory on the hill, Brown surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out seven. Â
Zane Pollon threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Mount Marty collected six hits on the day. Â
Kiko Nunez and
William Johnson all had multiple hits the Lancers.  Johnson and Nunez each collected two hits to lead MMU..  The Lancers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Billy Hancock had the most chances in the field with 12.
