Minneapolis, MN--
Mount Marty traveled north to take on Waldorf College on Wednesday afternoon. The Lancers were able to win both games on the day. Game one the Lancers won 5-2 and game two MMU won 14-4. Mount Marty is now 14-3 overall on the season. Waldorf is now 4-9 on the season.Â
Game One
Mount Marty ran off with the lead late in the game in a 5-2 victory over Waldorf University on Wednesday.  The Lancers were down 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning when
Billy Hancock homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
Waldorf University got things started in the second inning when #5 doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Clayton Chipchase earned the victory on the mound, the righthander allowed one hit and two runs over seven innings, striking out two.
Mount Marty smacked one home run on the day. Hancock put one out in the fifth inning.
Will Gardner led MMU with two hits in three at bats.  The Lancers didn't commit a single error in the field.
Kiko Nunez had the most chances in the field with eight.
Game Two
The Lancers had everything working on Wednesday, winning big over Waldorf University 14-4
In the second inning, Mount Marty got their offense started when
Zane Salley doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
MMU pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. Â In the fourth
Billy Hancock drew a walk, scoring one run,
Bodi Wallar drew a walk, scoring one run,
Ethan Wishon singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs,
Mitchell Noem drew a walk, scoring one run, Salley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and
Evan Bock drew a walk, scoring one run.
Zach Hegge was the winning pitcher he lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out four and walking zero.
Heston Williams,
Cooper Davis,
Shane Miller, and
Aaron Madden all came in releif to close down the win for Mount Marty.
Salley led MMUÂ with three hits in three at bats.

Mount Marty will head to Kansas again this weekend. The Lancers will play Mayville State on March 11th and 12th and will play in Concordia, KS. Mount Marty will attempt to livestream the games on Mount Marty Sports Network (Youtube).Â
