Yankton, SD -- The Lancers hosted both Morningside University and College of Saint Mary over the course of the last four days. MMU split with the Mustangs on Friday, dropping game one 6-1, and winning the second game 2-1. Mount Marty picked up the sweep over the CSM Flames on Monday afternoon, winning the first game 12-2 in five innings, and the second game 14-9. The team is now 15-14 on the season, and 8-6 in conference play.
MMU vs Morningside Game 1 (L, 6-1)
Mount Marty was able to get one run on six hits, while Morningside scored six runs on six hits.
The Mustangs were able to attack early, getting their six runs throughout the first three innings of the game. The Lancers lone run occurred in the bottom of the second,

Elisabeth McGill home.
Makayla Graunke started in the circle and was credited with the loss. Graunke threw four innings, gave up three earned runs on six hits and had two strikeouts.
Hannah Keith threw the last three innings, giving up zero runs on one hit, and collecting two strikeouts.
Elisabeth McGill went 2-for-3 at the plate, getting one run, one triple, and one stolen base in the process. Page picked up the only Lancer RBI in the game.
MMU vs Morningside Game 2 (W, 2-1)
Mount Marty was able to win Game 2, to split with Morningside. MMU scored two runs on five hits, while the Mustangs were able to score one run on five hits.
Autumn Porter hit a triple to left field to bring home
Emma Bloome to help the Lancers get an early 1-0 lead in the first. MSIDE scored in the following half inning to tie it up after they hit a double to left field. However,
Sami Noble singled to shortstop in the bottom of the half to score
Sydney Kotz and take the final lead of 2-1.
McKenzie Gray threw the complete game for the Lancers, getting strikeouts and giving up one run on six hits.
Autumn Porter and
Sami Noble both collected an RBI in the game. Porter led the team with two hits, with the first being a triple.
MMU vs CSM Game 1 (W, 12-2) 5 Innings
The Lancers were able to win the first game within five innings after scoring 12 runs on 13 hits. The Flames put two across on three hits.
The Lancers only scored three runs in the first two innings of the game, with the first run occurring on
Bailey Kortan's home run. However, the flood gates opened for the team in the bottom of the third inning, with the team scoring five runs. They tacked on another four runs in the fourth. CSM scored their two runs in the top of the fifth but fell short of the comeback.
Makayla Graunke picked up the win after throwing the first four innings of the game. Graunke collected five strikeouts, and allowed zero runs on two hits.
Kylee McDaniel finished out the game for the Lancers, giving up two runs on one hit and getting one strikeout.
Nine Lancers picked up hits in this game, with four of them getting two.
Sami Noble led the team in RBIs, getting three in this game.
Adrian Schoby and
Lilinoe Nihi followed with two RBIs. Both Kortan and
Autumn Porter hit a home run in this game, while
Janeah Castro hit a double.
MMU vs CSM Game 2 (W, 14-9)
The Lancers were able to get their rally caps on the back half of this game to secure their 14-9 win. Five total home runs occured in this game, with MMU getting three of them. MMU had 16 hits and scored 12 runs and committed one error. The Flames scored nine runs on 12 hits and had two errors.
Hannah Keith started in the circle, throwing the first two innings. Keith had two strikeouts and allowed three earned runs on four hits.
Madison Kovar came in next, throwing two and two-thirds of an innings. Kovar had one strikeout and allowed two earned runs on two hits.
Makayla Graunke followed, throwing one and one-third of an inning to pick up the win for the Lancers. Graunke had two strikeouts and gave up three earned runs on five hits.
McKenzie Gray threw the final inning of the game to secure the MMU win, getting one strikeout and allowing zero runs on one hit.
Autumn Porter went 4-for-4 to led the team with four runs and three RBIs. Two of her hits were home runs.
Abigail Page followed Porter, going 3-for-3 at the plate and getting two RBIs and walked once. Page had two doubles.
Regan Garry picked up the only triple of the game.

The Lancers are back on the road this weekend. Their first doubleheader will take place in Fremont, Neb. against Midland University, starting at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 21st. The second doubleheader is agaisnt Concordia University in Seward, Neb. on Saturday, April 22nd, starting at 1:00 pm.
