Mount Marty hosted Jamestown University on Sunday afternoon. Jamestown won both games on the day. Mount Marty is now 30-13 overall and 13-9min GPAC. Jamestown is now 22-16 overall and 11-9 overall.
Game One
Even though Mount Marty collected eight hits to University of Jamestown's seven, they still fell 8-5 on Sunday
University of Jamestown got things moving in the first inning, when #1 hit a solo homer.
In the bottom of the second inning, MMU tied things up at two.
Braeden Cordes singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Jared Miller led things off on the pitcher's mound, The righthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out five.
Heston Williams and
Zane Pollon entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
MMU tallied one home run on the day.
Billy Hancock had a long ball in the fifth inning.
Mount Marty collected eight hits.
Zane Salley and Cordes all collected multiple hits for the Lancers. Cordes and Salley each collected two hits to lead 2023 MMU.
Game Two
The Lancers fought back after falling down by four runs in the third inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 5-4 defeat to University of Jamestown on Sunday. Mount Marty scored four runs in the failed comeback.

Caid Koletzky,
Kiko Nunez, and
Billy Hancock fueled the rally with RBIs.
MMU fell behind early in the loss. University of Jamestown took the lead on a double in the first inning.
Chris Rofe took the loss for the Lancers. The righthander surrendered five runs on 12 hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Mount Marty tallied three home runs on the day. Koletzky had a homer in the fifth inning. Hancock went for the long ball in the eighth inning. Nunez went yard in the seventh inning.
The Lancers racked up nine hits on the day. Wishon and Hancock each managed multiple hits for MMU. Wishon led Mount Marty with three hits in four at bats. Mount Marty didn't commit a single error in the field. Hancock had the most chances in the field with 12.
