Mount Marty Baseball secured two wins in the rainy day Thursday night. Mount Marty won 4-3 and 9-1 over Hastings College. Mount Marty is now 34-13 overall and 17-9 in GPAC play.Â
Game One
Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, Mount Marty still held off Hastings College for a 4-3 victory on Thursday. Â Hastings College scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by #29 and a error.
Hastings College scored three runs in the sixth inning, but the Lancers still managed to pull out the victory.  The big inning for Hastings College came thanks to a single by #29 and an error on a ball put in play by #5.
Mount Marty notched three runs in the fourth inning. Â
Ethan Wishon and
Bodi Wallar all drove in runs in the frame.
Jett Hasegawa took the win for Mount Marty, Hasegawa went five and a third innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out three and walking zero. Â
Noah McCandless threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Â McCandless recorded the last five outs to earn the save for the Lancers.
Wallar went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead MMU in hits.
Game TwoÂ
A five-run third inning led MMU to a 9-1 victory on Friday. Â

Ethan Wishon,
Billy Hancock, and
Kiko Nunez each had RBIs in the frame.
Zach Hegge got the win for MMU,  the righty lasted six innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Â
Cooper Davis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Mount Marty smacked four home runs on the day. Hancock went for the long ball in the third inning.
Tommy Alitz had a dinger in the fourth inning. Nunez went deep in the third and fifth innings.
Mount Marty scattered eight hits in the game. Â Nunez and Hancock all collected multiple hits for the Lancers. Â Hancock and Nunez each collected two hits to lead the Lancers

Mount Marty will wrap up their regular season slate on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM. The Lancers will host Hastings for a double header again. Mount Marty will honor this year's recipient of the Jarud Lang Memorial Scholarship prior to game one. In between game one and game two the Lancers will honor the seniors in the program.Â
