Women's Soccer: Lancers Fall To Doane

In the first half, Doane (NE) set the tone early when Lexi Torok found the back of the net in the 18th minute, giving her team a 1-0 lead. McKenna Rathbun provided the assist, and it was a well-executed play that put the visitors ahead.

The second half continued to be a one-sided affair in favor of Doane (NE). Lexi Torok added to her tally in the 49th minute, doubling her team's lead with an assist from Denise Gomez. Just moments later, Torok struck again in the 50th minute, this time with Celeste Galvan providing the setup. Doane (NE) was in complete control with a 3-0 advantage.

As the match neared its conclusion, Celeste Galvan put the exclamation point on Doane's victory, scoring in the 86th minute with an assist from McKenna Rathbun. The final scoreline read 4-0 in favor of Doane (NE), highlighting their dominance on the field.

Doane (NE) outshot Mount Marty 12 to 2, demonstrating their attacking prowess. Lexi Torok was the star of the match, netting a hat-trick with three goals, while also contributing significantly to her team's offensive efforts.

Defensively, Doane (NE) kept Mount Marty at bay, not allowing a single shot on target. Goalkeeper Grayce Southern had a quiet day, not needing to make any saves.

In contrast, Mount Marty's goalkeeper, Caitlin Guerra, faced a barrage of shots and managed to make four saves to keep the scoreline from ballooning further.
