Mount Marty Secures Thrilling Victory Against Northwestern in a 73-70 Battle

In an intense and closely contested match, Mount Marty clinched a thrilling 73-70 victory over Northwestern. Cole Bowen made a halfcourt shot with 0.08 seconds left on the clock to complete the upset. Mount Marty is now 5-8 overall and 1-6 in GPAC play. Northwestern is 12-3 overall and 5-2 in GPAC play. 

Mount Marty set the tone early in the game, establishing a lead at the end of the first half. Their solid performance was led by a collective effort from the team, with multiple players contributing significantly to their offensive and defensive strategies.

Cole Bowen emerged as a standout player for Mount Marty, showcasing his scoring prowess with 17 points, contributing crucial baskets to propel his team's offense. Additionally, Jared Lopez made a notable impact, adding 14 points to the scoreboard, while Micah Johnson and Tash Lunday also made valuable contributions with 13 and 9 points, respectively.
