Women's Basketball: Lancers lose out to Broncos in competitive contest.

Box Score Mount Marty was defeated by Hastings College 70-87 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.
MMU falls to 5-20 overall on the year and is now 1-18 in the GPAC.
Hastings College now sits 13-12 overall with a 9-10 record in conference play.
First Quarter: Mount Marty would win the first quarter scoring 20 points to Hastings 17.
Second Quarter: A competitive Quarter in which Hastings would just be ahead of the Lancers with a scoreline of 34-35.
Third Quarter:  The back-and-forth action would continue as Mount Marty and Hasting would battle out the third quarter with the Broncos outscoring Mount Marty by just two in the quarter to lead 57-54.
Fourth Quarter: The Fourth quarter proved to be the nail in the coffin for the Lancers as Hastings would pull away scoring 30 points in the quarter to Mount Marty's 16 despite shooting 53% in the quarter. The Mustangs would shoot an incredible 69% from the field including a 9-9 clip from the free throw line.
Key Players for Mount Marty:
Sydney Thue (23 MIN, 16 PTS, 8 REB) – showed her skills on both sides of the court scoring 16 points from a 7-9 clip and as well as snagging 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
Maria Parsley (29 MIN,16 PTS) – had a  perfect night offensively as she went 5-5 from the field including 4-4 from three and 2-2 from the line.
Jadyn Jensen (21 MIN,12 PTS) – Snagged 5 rebounds to go along with her 12 points.
Key Players for Hastings:
Lexi Kraft (28 MIN, 23 PTS): Scored an Impressive 23 points from 7-10 shooting, including 6 three-pointers.
Mariyah Avila (30 MIN, 18 PTS): would notch a rebound and assist alongside her 18 points.
Bailey Kissinger (32 MIN, 17 PTS, 8 REB,7 AST): brought in  8 rebounds and 7 assists alongside 17 points.
Team Stats:
Mount Marty: shot 44% from the field along with a 29.6% clip from three. The lancers would shoot 58% from the charity stripe.
Hastings: Shot 45.8% from the field including 36.7% from three. The Broncos would win the free throw battle comfortably with a 73 percent success rate.

The Lancers will Travel to Jamestown, North Dakota to take on the University of Jamestown. Tip off is slated for 2 PM.
