Mount Marty Secures Victory Over Midland, 5-2

In a compelling matchup, Mount Marty emerged victorious over Midland with a final score of 5-2.

The game began with Mount Marty taking an early lead in the first inning. Aidan Chang scored on a single by Bodi Wallar, who later advanced to second and then third on an error by the center fielder, allowing Will Gardner to score as well.

Midland responded in the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run by Joshua Hardamon, cutting Mount Marty's lead to 2-1.

Mount Marty extended their lead in the second inning when Joe Gokie reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Evan Bock to score.

Midland narrowed the gap in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly by Jacob Liquori, bringing in Alec Villanueva and making the score 3-2 in favor of Mount Marty.

Mount Marty added to their lead in the sixth inning with a solo home run by Ryan Bachman, increasing their lead to 4-2.

In the seventh inning, Aidan Chang singled to right-center, bringing in Christian Berry and securing a 5-2 lead for Mount Marty.

Mount Marty's pitching staff held Midland's offense in check, with solid performances from Slayder Watterson, Caden Eymann, and Danny Mosarah.

With this victory, Mount Marty improved their record to 17-12, while Midland fell to 20-8 on the season.


Game Two
 

Mount Marty Holds off Midland in Thrilling 10-9 Victory

In an intense matchup that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Mount Marty clinched a narrow 10-9 victory over Midland.

The game started with both teams exchanging blows. Mount Marty took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning as Joe Gokie singled to center field, bringing in Ethan Wishon and Shugo Kondo. However, Midland quickly responded in the bottom of the inning with a two-run homer by Hadyn Crawford, tying the game at 2-2. Jacob Liquori then reached base on an error, allowing Yealex Lopez to score and give Midland a 3-2 lead.

Midland extended their lead to 4-2 in the fourth inning with another home run by Hadyn Crawford. But Mount Marty staged a remarkable comeback in the fifth inning, exploding for six runs. Will Gardner, Bodi Wallar, Shugo Kondo, Ethan Wishon, and Vaughn Deming all contributed RBIs in the inning, propelling Mount Marty to an 8-4 lead.

Midland fought back, scoring two runs in the sixth inning and three more in the eighth to tie the game at 9-9. However, Mount Marty had one more rally left in them. In the top of the ninth, Shugo Kondo doubled to center field, bringing in Garret Damico and giving Mount Marty a crucial 10-9 lead.

Mount Marty's defense held firm in the bottom of the ninth, securing the victory in dramatic fashion.

With this win, Mount Marty improved their record to 18-12, while Midland fell to 20-9 on the season.
