The game started with Concordia taking an early lead, scoring three runs in the opening inning. While Mount Marty struggled to contain the Bulldogs' offense, they ultimately fell to the Bulldogs due to their six fielding errors that were committed throughout the game.Â

Mount Marty managed to put up five runs on the scoreboard, closing the gap and making the score 7-5. Mount Marty recorded 11 hits as a team, with Sami Noble, Makayla Hudson, and Kayleen Jacinto tallying two a piece.Â
However, Concordia's hitting proved to be the difference-maker, as the Bulldogs 16 hits and 14 runs in game one. Despite Mount Marty's efforts, the Bulldogs consistently found gaps in the defense and capitalized on scoring opportunities.
Game Two:
In game two against the Bulldogs, the Lancers fell 6-0. Concordia wasted no time asserting their dominance, scoring two runs in the opening inning. Despite a promising start from Mount Marty's pitcher, M. Graunke, the Bulldogs continued to find gaps in the defense, adding runs in the fourth and fifth innings to extend their lead.
Mount Marty struggled to get their offense going, managing only three hits throughout the game. Raegan Harper, Lilinoe Nihi, and Megan Toplovich all tallied one hit a piece. Despite a valiant effort, they couldn't capitalize on scoring opportunities, leaving runners stranded on base.
Pitcher T. Ganstrom led the charge for Concordia, shutting down Mount Marty's hitters and keeping them off the scoreboard for the entirety of the game. Makayla Graunke put up a strong effort for the Lancers, walking two batters and striking out three, but ultimately couldn't contain Concordia's offense.
The Lancers will be back in action Thursday, April 25th for their last regular season home games where they will be facing the Dordt Defenders at 5 & 7 PM.
